DOH-TRC trains new personnel

BALANGA CITY, Bataan – The Department of Health-Treatment and Rehabilitation Center (DOH-TRC) is currently conducting a three-day seminar entitled “Capacity Development of Newly-Hired Personnel for the MEGA-Drug Abuse Treatment and Rehabilitation Center in Nueva Ecija, at the Crown Royale Hotel, this City, Oct. 26-28.

“Drug addiction is recognized as a disease. The Philippine Government acknowledges this disease as a threat to the general well being of the citizenry, thus President Duterte’s call for ‘War Against Drugs,” Dr. Elizabeth Serrano, Chief of Hospital II, TRC-Bataan.

 

In this regard, all government units responded to the President’s call and there is an overwhelming number of surrenderees in all municipalities.

 

The DOH and its partner agencies are continuously drafting plans on this national issue; and the initial response is on proper assessment and evaluation of the surrenderees.

 

During the program, Mr. Wilfredo C. Quijano, Jr, Mr. Bien Oscar S. Densado, Ms. Elvie P. Balao amd Mr. Jomar Medrano served as facilitators and speakers.
