DTI – Bataan opens Negosyo Center – 1st in Region 3

The first in Central Luzon, DTI-Bataan launched its Negosyo Center in Balanga City on June 26, 2015. The launching started with a blessing rites and ribbon cutting followed by an opening remark and overview of the Negosyo Center by DTI-3 OIC Judith P. Angeles. The Director congratulated DTI-Bataan OIC Nelin O.Cabahug for having the first Negosyo Center established in Central Luzon. She added that Bataan SMEs are all welcome to use all facilities in the Center such as various business information materials, video and television for viewing different business opportunities which are available in CD format, laptop and computers if the SMEs would like to research on business related matters.

Board Member Jose Villapando representing Bataan Governor Albert Garcia, Board Member Reynaldo Ibe, Chairman on Trade and Industry and Ms. Geraldine Roman, in behalf of her mother Congresswoman Herminia Roman gave their inspirational messages. The guests appreciated the effort of the Department in helping the companies in Bataan who are the great contributors in the development of the province. The legislators promised their full support not only for the Negosyo Center but to the Department of Trade and Industry as well.

The Center will be responsible for promoting ease of doing business and facilitating access to services like financing and marketing promotion for micro, small and medium enterprises. It would also facilitate services such as business registration, Barangay Micro Business Enterprise (BMBE) registration,business advocacy service and business information, according to Mr. Luke Brunel of the Office of Senator Bam Aquino.
Last message was given by Ms. Amanda Battad, Bataan Chamber of Commerce and Industry President who testified that DTI truly supported them, the SMEs, from business consultancies, product development, seminars and trainings, and marketing. She believes that the Center is very important to SMEs. They will definitely come and enjoy the use of the facilities as well as the unwavering intervention of the smiling and approachable staff of DTI-Bataan.

After the messages, the signing of Memorandum of Agreement followed between DTI-Bataan OIC Nelin Cabahug and BACCI President Amanda Battad witnessed by all the special guests and DTI-3 OIC Judith Angeles. Before the short program ended, DTI-Bataan OIC Nelin Cabahug informed the crowd that the office processed and approved 2 BMBE Certificates – theBeakris House of Goodies and Ina Gloria Food Enterprises. DTI-Bataan waived the registration fee for the renewal of the 2BMBE registrations only today.
DTI-Provincial Directors Edna Dizon (Aurora), Agnes Ramirez (Tarlac), Zorina Aldana (Bulacan), Yay Lasam (former PD of DTI-Bataan), Small and Medium Entrepreneurs Development Council (SMEDC) members, SMEs and friends from media graced the occasion – a flagship project of DTI Secretary Gregory Domingo.
