Electrotechnical Institute (EI) marked its third year with an anniversary celebration and thanksgiving party on October 18.2014 EI welcomed its first batch of trainees in October 2011 and to date, the institute boasts more than 1,000 graduates for the Instrumentation and Control National Certificate II.
The event was graced with the presence of Provincial Director (company) Grace Corazon C Castillo, who represented Deputy Director General of Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Atty. Teodoro Pascual, Deputy Director General. Castillo cited that the achievements of EI for the past three years have been significant to TESDA and EI is among the Top 5 performing schools in terms of employment. She also noted that EI is a pioneer in the field of Instrumentation and Control, which continue to produce globally-competent TESDA Skilled Certificate.
Other notable guests include Eduard S. Berador, SVP AGS Group of Companies – Ruru Global Recruitment, who talked about the value of perseverance and dedication during job application; and James Lee Dumaog – VP Marketing of Trigon Management and former Vice President of the Philippine Instrumentation and Control Society – National Chapter, who shared the development of the license of Instrumentation and Control in PRC and shared the overview of the new Wireless Hart System Technology.
The celebration started with a Thanksgiving Mass officiated by Fr. Arnold Rosal,OSJ who also blessed EI’s training area. In his homily, he said: “God gave us skills to use it in our purpose in life. EI is a valuable venue which helps in upgrading one’s skills in order to improve his life.”
Mr. Igmedio S Reyes. President of EI, gave words of encouragement during his opening remarks and reminded the students and staffs to always be proud to be a Filipino, to not be afraid to show their skills and to continue to expand their knowledge and maintain humility. He also announced that EI is now offering Instrumentation and control nc 2 and nc3, with update simulators and test equipment.
A surprise awarding followed, where Robert P. Abella was presented with a Certificate of Recognition for his achievements and valuable contribution to the institution, and for being EI’s Top Supervising Trainer.
EI is looking forward to more seminars and celebrations to maintain the camaraderie among its students and to bridge their personal and career development even after their training.
