CITY of BALANGA, Bataan – Governor Albert Raymond S. Garcia presented the mandates, roles and measurable results of the Provincial Governor’s Office (PGO) in today’s flag-raising ceremony held at the Bataan People’s Center, this City.
According to Gov. Garcia, the Bataan PGO exists to support the leadership agenda of the Governor of the Province of Bataan through delivering efficient management of day-to-day operations of the office and by providing technical support and supervision to provincial government initiatives, programs and events leading to a positive customer experience and excellent delivery of public service to all.
Meanwhile, the PGO’s role in the achievement of the vision and mission of the province lies under the support perspective in terms of its strategy.
“By providing administrative, technical, as well as the release of financial support to the province’s departments, offices and units, the organization’s targeted outputs will be realized,” Gov. Garcia said.
The office likewise functions as the communication nexus of the provincial government, handling and routing internal as well as external communications of the organization.
As part of its measurable results projected for 2016, the PGO serves as liaison and coordination arm of the province’s public-private-partnership project: the on-going Bataan Capitol Redevelopment Project otherwise termed as “The Bunker.”
In cooperation with implementing departments such as the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office, the PGO is passionate in the 100 percent delivery of program commitments to the province’s constituents which include the year-end food assistance to Bataeños, rice subsidies, medical assistance programs, school supplies distribution, mass housing project, “Libreng Libing Program,” and others.
Moreover, the PGO is also dedicated in the efficient management of PGB operations through the support lent to PGB initiatives, programs and events, facilitation of financial assistance paperwork, and the handling and routing of communications received by the office.
