How to lure investors in Bataan

BALANGA CITY, Bataan – Bataan Governor Albert Raymond S. Garcia has urged top officials of the free port and special economic zones to formulate a comprehensive marketing and promotional plan to attract foreign and local investors in the province.

Speaking before newsmen the other day, Garcia expressed positive reactions on reports that some 20 Japanese industrial firms in mainland China are opting to relocate their operations to South East Asian countries including the Philippines .

He said the sufficient and stable power supply, availability of skilled manpower, infrastructure and port facilities and readily available space for manufacturing and commercial enterprises in the two freeports and four special economic zones which Gov. Abet calls Bataan’s engines of growth are key factors that would fascinate Japanese investors into doing business in the province.

Garcia cited a good number of Japanese industrial plants located in the Freeport Area of Bataan (FAB) in Mariveles and Hermosa Special Economic Zone have been continuously expanding their operations to comply with the booming export demands.

The comprehensive marketing and promotional plan is intended to pave the way for more foreign investments to participate in the labor intensive manufacturing sector with its huge potential in the Bataan peninsula, Garcia added.
