IP REPRESENTATIVE PROPOSES CREATION OF COMPREHENSIVE PLAN

Newly-appointed indigenous people mandatory representative to the Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) ng Bataan, Mrs. Rosita Sison is proposing for the formulation of a comprehensive plan which would hasten the delivery of basic services and provide sustainable livelihood to the tribal communities in the province.

BM Sison is seeking for doable and specific packages to improve the quality of life of the 18 tribal communities in Bataan.
The newly affirmed board member has narrated the hardship encountered by the indigenous people in seeking medical treatment to public hospitals, inadequate educational facilities, insufficient job opportunities and activities to achieve highly meaningful life .

BM Sison said she would recommend to the SP the allocation of allowances and financial assistance for the indigenous people chieftains to expedite and step up harmonization of actions for the advantages of members of the cultural minorities in their respective localities.
Majority of indigenous people in the province are still engaged in the traditional hunting of wild animals, vegetable farming and manual labor for their livelihood.
