Leadership matters most

CITY of BALANGA, Bataan – The Provincial Government of Bataan, through the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) and the Provincial Youth Council (PYC) held the Pag-asa Youth Association of the Philippines (PYAP) Participatory Leadership & Development Training together with the Sangguniang Kabataan Chairman of different municipalities last June 28 at Las Mariana, Abucay, Bataan.

The purpose of this leadership training is to equip the future leaders of Bataan as the province grows. Provincial Governor’s Office – Office of the Strategic Management Project Development Officer Kaye Pascua emphasized how important it is for the youth to be involved in the economic growth of Bataan. She also discussed the province’s vision-mission and underscored that it is the vision of the entire province, not just of Governor Albert Garcia, which the hardworking governor often emphasizes in his messages.

Sangguniang Kabataan Chairperson Aries Panaligan and Bataan Peninsula State University (BPSU) Strategy Analyst Yves Consunji discussed leadership, management, creating a relevant and sustainable action plan.

Mr. Panaligan said that each of them has their own capabilities but when put together it will have a greater outcome. “Leadership requires something you’re willing to sacrifice for you to grow or to have a better outcome in your community,” he added.
