Local officials urged to stop illegal drugs to maintain peaceful atmosphere

PILAR, Bataan- The newly-elected municipal mayor of this town strongly urge municipal and barangay officials and other private sectors to give more emphasis in upholding peaceful atmosphere and uncompromising to eradicate illegal drugs in the town to ensure economic prosperity.
Mayor Charlie F. Pizarro, former chairman of Metro Bataan Development Authority (MBDA) pointed out in his short message during the oath taking rites of newly-elected vice mayor and municipal councilors recently held at the government center asked local barangay officials not to condone drug users which had been causing headaches to law enforcers and other authorities.

While stressing the importance of peace and order, Mayor Pizarro said the tourism program of his wife, former Mayor Alice D. Pizarro remains the top priority of his administration in pursuing improvements of historical landmarks and other tourism-oriented projects.
Mayor Pizarro also announced that the municipal government is opting to install internet communication facilities all barangay halls in Pilar to achieve more efficient linkages in promoting community services.
