Mariveles makes it to the Top 10 of the 2018 CMCI

BALANGA CITY, Bataan – The Department of Trade and Industry(DTI) Region 3 recognized the effort and commitment of the Local Government of Mariveles in completing and submitting all the necessary data, passing the assessment that made them to the TOP 10 of the national result of the 2018 CMCI, thus making it to the TopTen of the country’s most competitive local government units.
Mayor AJ Concepcion and some of the Sangguniang Bayan members received the award last December at the Orchidarium, Orchid Garden, City of San
Fernando, Pampanga for the conferment of the Cities and Municipalities Competitive Index (CMCI) Award, garnering Top 9 in the Pillar of Infrastructure.
Mayor Ace Jello Concepcion said that with all their efforts, he and the Sangguniang Bayan members were happy to receive the award as this is the result of the DTI assessment on the four categories of the CMCI such as, Economic Dynamism, Gov’t Efficiency, Infrastructure and Resiliency, wherein they passed all the categories excelling in the Pillar of Infrastructure.
Present at the awarding ceremony were the Central Luzon LGU awardees in the TOP 10 of the 2018 CMCI with Tarlac Mayor Concepcion Zarate, sharing their CMCI best practices, Asst. Sec. Mary Jean Pacheco of DTI, RD Leon Dacanay, NEDA Regional Director, Region 3 and RD Judith Angeles, DTI Regional Director and the chairperson of Region 3-SCC.
