Mayor Roque to speak at the National “LGU-ICT” Forum

LIMAY, Bataan – New DILG Secretary, Ismaelo D. Sueno invites Mayor Lilvir Roque of this town as one of the presentors at the National LGU Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Forum; with the theme: “Re-engineering and Integrating ICT in Business Permit and Licensing,” on Oct. 27, 2016 8am-5pm at Sofitel Phil. Plaza, Pasay City.

This year’s theme according to Secretary Sueno is in line with the pronouncement of the President in streamlining, processing all government agencies transactions and with the approval of the joint memorandum circular (JMC) no.1 series of 2016, entitled “Revised Standards in processing Business Permit and Licenses in all cities and municipalities.”

Mayor Lilvir Roque will be presenting the use of the Electronic in Business Permit and Licensing system developed by the academe focusing on how the collaboration started and translated into concrete initiatives.

It will be remembered that Limay town was the first to use the E-system in their permit and licenses thru the help of the Bataan Polytechnic State University (BPSU) academe in the years 2011-2014, generating effective efforts in enhancing local business environment, of which later on have been improved in the latest trend in technology.

The good practice of employing ICT in their operations have won them awards in the LGU’s Best Practices given by DILG in that span of years, as that of improving government transactions in terms of efficiency and transparency, as well as its impact on their economy and services to the people.
