Mariveles PNP score against illegal fishing

 MARIVELES, Bataan – The policemen here and the members  of Bantay Dagat stationed at Camaya Coast Barangay Biaan, Mariveles score another breakthrough in their campaign against illegal fishing along the shoreline of Sitio Talain, Barangay Biaan, resulting to the confiscation of fishing boat and other gadget use in illegal fishing.

 Superintendent Melecio “Bong” Buslig, Jr., chief of police of Mariveles PNP, said, however that the suspects, upon seeing  the arrival of the PNP personnel, eluded arrest and left the motorized fishing Banca together with  sets of compressor with small tank, two pieces of  diving fin (panyapak), one engine with 16 HP small tank, one small ice box, two improvised goggles, and one IED (Bottle with Ammonium Nitrate).

All evidences recovered are now under the custody of Mariveles police, said Buslig.

Meanwhile, an attempted Murder transpired in Sitio Paliparan, Brgy. Batangas II, Mariveles Bataan was reported after the victim identified as Jimmy Soriano , 58, was allegedly shot by Ferdinand Austria.

 Initial investigation conducted by Mariveles PNP disclosed that while victim was driving his tricycle, the suspect flagged down him and without   any  apparent reason, suspect hit him using his shoulder bag, then immediately left. But after a few seconds, the suspect returned and armed already with an unidentified caliber firearm  and shot the victim. It was not stated in the report if the victim was hit.

The victim, together with the Brgy. Tanod reported the said incident to Mariveles who in turn, made  the  suspect to voluntarily surrender.
