A report from the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council said several villages in the towns of Hermosa and Mariveles were submerged in water, prompting school officials to suspend classes on Monday and Tuesday.

“As of now there are only scattered rainshowers unlike yesterday (Tuesday) it was a heavy and continuous downpour,” Señora said. As of Wednesday morning, Typhoon Jose has weakened while on its way to Japan.

Evacuees in Samal also returned back to their homes Tuesday noon.

Bataan was recently placed under a state of calamity due to Typhoon Glenda (Rammasun).
