CAPITOL GROUNDS, Bataan – Members of the Bataan delegation who represented our province during the recently concluded Central Luzon Regional Athletics (CLRAA) Meet 2014 held last December 6-12 at the Zambales Sports Complex in Iba triumphantly presented their trophies and medals to Gov. Abet S. Garcia during this morning’s flag raising ceremony. They were joined by Dr. Tarcila Javier, DEpEd Bataan Schools Division Superintendent and Mr. Ramon Perez, Education Supervisor.

Though they missed a total of 13 events, Bataan still emerged 2nd in the over-all ranking, garnering a total of 27 gold, 30 silver and 32 bronze medals (elementary and secondary divisions combined). Bulacan got the 1st place, Olongapo came 3rd and Pampanga 4th.

The Bataan delegation missed 13 events because they were not able to make it on the first day of the competition due to the onslaught of Typhoon Ruby. As they say, all is well that ends well.

Way to go, team Bataan!
