BALANGA CITY, Bataan – In a recent press conference regarding infrastructure projects in the province, Governor Abet Garcia encouraged the media to take a look at the Bagac-Mariveles road which is only 4kms away from its completion.
The Governor said that he is excited about the completion of this road because aside from the fact that this will shorten the travel time from Mariveles to Bagac and Morong, even to Subic and Olongapo City, this will usher new investments for the province, not to mention the tourism perks,.
San Miguel Corporation, has already acquired hectares of properties in said place, seeing the potentials of the area for their future developments.
The rough roads of Bagac-Mariveles then was an attraction and a favorite site of motorcycle enthusiasts, bikathons and other mountain-wheeled vehicles because of the long traversing road and the serenity of the place.
It will be remembered that the Bagac-Mariveles road which started construction in Brgy. Saysain, Bagac, way back in 2014, was a vision of Governor Abet Garcia, when he was still congressman of the province’s second district. Now he is realizing said vision.
With the booming investment climate of the province, it will be noted that, main thoroughfares, expressway and by-pass roads have been a major focus, for Gov. Abet believes that one way of selling the place as an investment site is to have first good roads for a smooth travel thereby, exposing the beauty and potentials of the place.
