OPA, DA RFO award free farm machineries, equipment

CITY of BALANGA, Bataan — The Provincial Government of Bataan thru the Office of the Provincial Agriculture (OPA) in cooperation with the Department of Agriculture Regional Field Office (DA-RFO) granted a total of 10 units of farm machineries and equipment to 10 different farmers association in the province, today during the flag raising ceremony at the Capitol grounds, this City.

Sapa-SRI Farmers Association from Samal, Magsaysay Irrigators Service Association, Inc. from Pilar and Tuyo Farmers Agriculture Cooperative from Balanga received 1 unit of Drum Seeder each. Also, Colo Farmers Irrigators Association Inc. from Dinalupihan, Sinandigan Farmers Association from Samal and Balanga Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Multi-purpose Cooperative from Balanga received 1 unit of Combine Harvester each.

Meanwhile, San Simon Farmers Association from Dinalupihan and Bataan Seed Growers Multi-purpose Cooperative from Pilar took home 1 unit of Thresher each, while Tapulao Multi-purpose Cooperative from Orani and Community Savers Farmers Association from Bagac acquired 1 unit of Reaper.

The total cost of the 10 machineries and equipment received by the different farmers association amounted to Php5, 649, 224.00.
