Orani common terminal formally opens

ORANI, Bataan – In line with the vision mission of the Municipal Government of Orani and that of the Provincial Government of Bataan, Mayor Efren “Bondjong” Pascual Jr. sees to it that all efforts in bringing positive changes in the town would pay off as he graced today’s formal opening of the common terminal.

Located in Centro I near the Municipal Hall, the Multi-Purpose Gym, and the town plaza, the common terminal includes jeepney rides from Orani to Dinalupihan and vice versa, Orani to Balanga City and vice versa, and tricycle rides around the town. “Ang terminal na ito ay magiging sukatan ng disiplina ng taga Orani,” Vice Mayor Godofredo Galicia Jr. said, knowing that this is a huge change for the town because it will require people to walk to and from the terminal, instead of going on and off the jeepneys/tricycles from anywhere.

“Mayor ka na, doktor ka pa,” former BM Gaudencio Ferrer said to Mayor Bondjong. One reason why this new terminal is pushed through is to encourage people to have a healthy lifestyle through the short walks to and from the terminal. This is also in observation of the province’s vision to attain top-level human development index in the Philippines.

Also present in the event were 1st District Congresswoman Geraldine Roman with her mother former 1st District Congresswoman Herminia Roman, Sangguniang Bayan members, representatives from LTO and PENELCO, barangay officials, and Municipal Government of Orani employees.
