ORION town, a second class municipality with a population of more or less 60,000 people may soon become a highly industrialized town with improved port facilities and soon to rise infrastructure projects.

Only recently, a P1 billion housing project broke ground in Barangay Daang Pare to shelter the more or less 1,000 families displaced by fire last year in Barangay Capunitan.
Orion Mayor Antonio Raymundo expressed deep optimism in Monday’s talk with newsmen that more investors are willing to pour handsome capital in his municipality through the joint efforts of the municipal government and the provincial leadership of Gov. Albert Garcia.

The area of development centers on development of port facilities to attract more investors both local and foreign capital.
At present, a tourist boat regularly ferries passengers from Port of Orion to Mall of Asia in Metro Manila with business executives and employees as patrons. The ferry service with reasonable fare continues to draw passengers more particularly those who avoid traffic jam.
With good peace and order and efficient police personnel, Orion town will achieve progress to become an industrial town in the near future, said the mayor.
