BALANGA CITY, Bataan – The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) provincial office in Bataan has granted the other day P 500,000 worth of food processing equipment to members of the Kababaihan ng Bataan Tungo sa Kaunlran (KABAKA) chapters in the towns of Samal and Hermosa.
Ms. Nelin Cabahug, DTI Bataan provincial director, said that the scheme under the Shared Service Facility (SSF) provides small and medium enterprises received sealer, veggie noodle maker, heavy duty mixer, deep frier, stainless table and other items for their productive livelihood projects.
Cabahug, a certified public accountant and regarded as corporate expert , said the DTI cited the significant role of the small and medium entrepreneurs as the engines of economic growth which the government encourages to achieve the elevation of the socio economic goal in terms of promoting and expanding livelihood opportunities in the countryside.
Bataan 1st district Rep. Herminia Roman, Samal Mayor Gene Malibiran Dela Fuente , and Ms. Judith Angeles ,DTI regional director for Central Luzon led in the distribution of the livelihood equipment.
