In line with the preemptive measures undertaken by the Provincial Government of Bataan to prevent the spread of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19), the Provincial Health Office (PHO) and the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) yesterday, March 11, distributed Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs) to the rural health units in different municipalities, lone city, and public hospitals as part of the preparation for worst case scenario.
Included in the said PPEs are: coverall with hood, disposable gown, safety goggles, alcohol, soap, N95 mask, surgical mask and gloves, tissue, digital thermometer, boots, and mega box as kit. A total of 160 PPEs have been distributed by the PHO and another batch of PPEs will be given as needed. According to a PHO Representative, they hope that the PPEs will not be used by the recipient for it means that, the Province remains Covid-19 free.
To date, municipal health officers and representatives of public hospitals are advised to claim their PPEs at the Provincial Health Office.
