PVO conducts rabies awareness

MORONG, Bataan – The Provincial Veterinarian Office (PVO) held simultaneous activities in celebration of the Rabies Awareness and Consciousness month last March 21 in this town.

Castration of dogs, information education campaign and supplemental anti-rabies vaccination were conducted for the residents of Sitio Panibatuhan, Brgy. Poblacion. The castration was led by Agatha Cleto, DVM and Ma. Gloria Cariaga, the supplemental vaccination was conducted by John Edler David and Adelfa Anne Marquez, and the information education campaign was led by Ma. Dolores Gara.

The PVO also visited the Morong National High School in Brgy. Sabang to conduct an information education campaign to the students. Leading the event was Izza Rona Abina who gave a lecture on animal rabies, and Bernadette Manahan of the Provincial Health Office (PHO) who lectured on human rabies.

The team proceeded to Sitio Minanga, Brgy. Mabayo also to give a lecture on animal rabies to the residents there.
