In a meeting of the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) on COVID-19 yesterday, March 16 at The Bunker, Governor Abet Garcia emphasized the importance of social distancing in preventing the spread of COVID-19 in the province.
Said meeting aims to reinforce the measures undertaken by the government through updates, feedback and suggestions being reported by the task force members gathered from the frontliners and the citizens.
To date, six (6) checkpoints in all entry and exit points in Bataan are still activated 24/7 to strictly monitor the entry of people in the province. Strict home quarantine will be observed under the supervision of Barangay Health Emergency Response Team (BHERTs).
Everyone is highly encouraged to observe social distancing, at least one (1) meter apart, proper hygiene, especially among our frontliners that their need for PPEs was also discussed. Regular disinfection of public offices/places is also encouraged by the Provincial Health Office.
Gov. Abet urged all Bataenos to stay at home and cooperate with the government to prevent and minimize the spread of the virus.
