The members of the Sangguiang Panlalawigan are happy over Vice Gov. Cris Garcia’s election as treasurer of the League of Vice Governors of the Philippines (LVGP).At the end of their regular session on Monday, members of the provincial board applauded the vice governor for her new post.
“Congrats, Vice Gov”, the members greeted in chorus. To which the smiling vice governor humbly replied, “Dagdag trabaho lang”. Officers of LVGP Execom 2019-2022 were elected last week.
It will be remembered that Garcia started her stint in politics in 2016 when she substituted for her late uncle former governor and congresssman Tet Garcia for the vice gubernatorial post.
“Never in my wildest dream that I thought I would become vice governor”, she often said in the early part of her political career. Garcia was unopposed in her reelection in the last midterm elections.
Prior to her entry to politics, she was staff of her uncle in Congress and later coordinator of the Iskolar ng Bataan program.
Many Bataan folks observe her being industrious and hardworking.
