With the continuing increase in the number of COVID-19 cases in the Province, the Sangguniang Panlalawigan has returned to video conferences via Zoom application to continue acting on important resolutions and ordinances such as those pertaining to the reopening of the economy and COVID-19 response.

Last August 4, in one of the E-sessions of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan presided by Vice Governor Cris Garcia, Resolution No. 300 s. 2020 “AUTHORIZING THE PROVINCIAL GOVERNOR TO ENTER INTO AND SIGN A MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT WITH THE COMMUNITY BASED MONITORING SYSTEM NETWORK TEAM FOR THE DEVELOPMENT AND IMPLEMENTATION OF A CBMS ONLINE PLATFORM FOR DATA COLLECTION IN THE CONTEXT OF THE COVID -19 PANDEMIC” was unanimously approved.

Said collaboration will be beneficial for Bataeños for it will develop a monitoring system utilizing an online platform instead of the conventional face-to-face interview in the conduct of household census.

In a related development, Governor Abet S. Garcia signed SP Resolution No. 266 s. 2020 to coordinate with Cloudtech Advertising Inc. for the creation of 1Bataan Business Directory Project thru its “WHERE” mobile application that provides information regarding the Province of Bataan, such as tourist attractions, tourist spots, food establishments, and other real-time news and developments.
