Provincial Legal Officer, Atty. Efren Lizardo is also part of the team
Visibly grateful and proud of these recent accomplishments, Gov. Abet mentioned that during a meeting called for by DA Sec. Manny Piñol attended by provincial governors and representatives of the World Bank Group (being the source of funds), they were asked why they are not getting the allotted funds for the projects; and the reason is the rigid requirements hence some governors who initially availed of the program, returned the funds for they found it really hard to comply with it.
The hardworking governor underscored that the Province of Bataan did not just comply with the requirements but even made it as the best implementor of the project.
To date Bataan, has submitted several projects to the World Bank for funding that could reach to about 280M; mostly FMRs, three of which are already validated while another is in the pipeline awaiting the social environment safeguard compliance with the help of the OPA and PG-ENRO.
In the end, he commended the double efforts of all the participating departments for a job well done.
