The Provincial Government of Bataan (PGB), represented by Governor Abet Garcia, signed a MultiParty agreement with the National Resilience Council (NRC), Bataan Peninsula State University (BPSU) and Zuellig Family Foundation (ZFF) to implement a Leadership for Resilience Program where Bataan is the pilot province to help achieve the target resilience outcomes. The signing was held at Zuellig building in Makati City last October 9. The Carlos P. Romulo Foundation is the convenor and secretariat of the National Resilience Council.
The parties are willing to work together as partners for establishing and sustaining a resilient LGU system that seeks to achieve continuity of services, less deaths and damages to properties and agriculture and development continuity in the event of a disaster; NRC and ZFF recognize that the PGB is capable of providing the resources for the capacity building of the 1Bataan Resilience
Team Core and Expanded Members to develop a resilient LGU system through systems improvement and organization strengthening of the pillars on human development, local economy, infrastructure, and the environment in partnership with BPSU.
In his message, Gov. Abet extended his gratitude to everyone who has put all the works and commitment to help Bataan reach this far, with goals towards a Resilient 1Bataan.
