1,200 residents benefit in 3rd Rotary Community Pantry

Councilor Susan Madla-Murillo said about 1,200 residents from upper Mariveles benefited in the 3rd Community Pantry conducted by the Rotary Club of Mariveles Ecozone and Rotaract Club of Mariveles Freeport. Madla-Murillo is also an officer of Rotary Club of Mariveles Ecozone.

“It was the 3rd time we conducted the community pantry in Samaria Heights, Brgy Mt. View in cooperation with Samaria Heights Homeowners Association and its president, Marle Madla”, she said.

“But this time we also gave goods and vegetables in some sitios of Mt. View that was why more residents benefited”, she also said.

“Gov. Abet Garcia learned about our community pantry and he told us to continue it. The next thing, Dinalupihan Mayor Gila Garcia donated vegetables which were given to the people”.

“We would like to thank Gov. Abet and Mayora Gila for their support”, she said.

Messages of gratitude to Madla-Murillo and her husband Mt. View Kagawad Fidel Murillo flooded social media.

They have also conducted community pantry in lower Mariveles in particular, Brgy. Ipag.
