Fourteen barangays from Hermosa were recognized on November 11 at the Bataan People’s Center in Balanga City for their outstanding implementation of health programs under the 1Bataan Seal of Healthy Barangay initiative.
The provincial program rewards communities that demonstrate strong performance in delivering effective and accessible health services.
Mayor Anne Inton said the recognition aligns with Governor Joet Garcia’s push for meritocracy, which grants incentives based on actual performance of each barangay. She noted that the system aims to strengthen local health initiatives and ensure that every community receives quality healthcare services.
The mayor also thanked the Municipal Health Office led by Dr. Warren Valencia, along with RHU staff, barangay health workers, nutrition scholars, barangay captains, secretaries, and midwives for guiding and supporting the participating barangays.
The awardees received cash incentives, including five barangays that earned PHP100,000 each for the second quarter and multiple barangays that received PHP50,000 each for the July and August 2025 rounds under the program.
