The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) conducted the first of a 4 series talk on Constitutional Reform, a provincial roadshow media briefing participated in by staffers of selected school publications in the province, media practitioners from Tarlac, Bataan, and Nueva Ecija, and other stakeholders, yesterday, November 12 at Crown Royale Hotel.

Guest Speaker, Professor Jose Ramon Casiple discussed the relevance of federalism in the lives of the Filipinos and in our political system. He emphasized that the real question is if the system is appropriate in a specific country, and not the system itself.

This DILG advocacy to review the 1987 Constitution is in line with response of President Rodrigo Duterte of creating an Inter-agency Task Force (IATF) to review the Bayanihan Federal Constitution and harmonize it with the inputs of various stakeholders.
Towards the end of the briefing, a media forum was held where participants had a chance to ask questions regarding the status and other clarifications regarding the Bayanihan Federalism.
