An agricultural revolution of the organic kind is unfolding in the province of Bataan, which has become synonymous with heroism and love for country due to its place in Philippine history.
In this province that depends largely on agriculture for its income, an increasing number of farmers are adopting the organic way of raising their crops and turning their back on using synthetic fertilizers and chemical pesticides to boost output.
This trend was brought on by the increasing consumer demand for healthier food as well as the realization that the land is losing its nutrients because of widespread use of chemical fertilizers.

The BPSU obtained 81.67% passing rate against the 68.87% national passing rate in the Mechanical Engineering Board Examination held on September 22 and 23, 2013 as forty nine (49) out of sixty (60) takers passed the licensure exam. This placed BPSU as top 6 performing universities in the country in the said examination. There are at least 135 universities and colleges in the country that fielded graduates in the said examination.
It is said that the name “Balanga” was derived from a kind of pot used for cooking or fetching water. The cooking pot is made of a special clay and is locally known as “banga”.
