Tagisan ng talento ng mga nanay sa Mother’s Day

   BALANGA CITY, Bataan  –  Magtatagisan ng talento ang lahat ng mga nanay na empleyado ng Balanga City Hall bilang bahagi ng pagdiriwang ng Mother’s Day at pagpupugay sa mga working mothers ng Lungsod.

   May temang “Haplos, Pagkilala sa mga World-class na Moms,” sinabi ni Cristina Apostol, pinuno ng City Human Resource Management Office (CHRMO), na isasagawa nila ang pagdiriwang ng Mother’s Day sa Mayo 16 sa Emiliana Hall dito sa lungsod sa ganap na ala una hanggang alas singko ng hapon kung saan kabilang sa kanilang inimbitahan si Bataan Gov. Albert Garcia para personal na batiin ang mga kalahok sa naturang talent showcase at magbigay inspirasyon sa mga nanay.

$200 million waste processing plant to rise in Bataan town

   BALANGA CITY , Bataan –  The construction of a modern waste to energy processing plant worth $200 million in the upland village of the coastal town of Orion, this province, is reportedly the first investment portfolio from the collaborative  projects from South Korean firms following a successful four-man delegation visit last month.

   Mayor Antonio Raymundo, Jr.  of Orion town said that South Korean businessmen showed enormous interest investing in the historic peninsula of Bataan focusing on waste processing  to power generation.

PILAR JOB FAIR 2014

   PILAR, Bataan – With continuous efforts to further enhance the employability of jobseekers here in Bataan, 74 jobseekers were hired on the spot (HOTS) during a Job Fair held at the Municipal Covered Court of this town last month, spearheaded by Hon. Alicia D. Pizarro, Mayor of Pilar; Ms. Leilani M. Reynoso, Head of Department of Labor and Employment Bataan Provincial Field Office and Mr. Melchor A. Cui, Head of Public Employment Service Office of Bataan.

Bataan Peninsula State U looks for private sector rep

   CITY OF BALANGA, Bataan, May 9 (PIA) – The Bataan Peninsula State University (BPSU) Board of Regents has opened the search for a private sector representative who will be member of the university’s highest governing body.

   Applicants must be a resident of Bataan for the last 10 years; must have distinguished reputation in his/her profession or field of specialization within the mandate of the university; and preferably engaged in business or industries, media, cooperatives, etc. and in activities providing employment opportunities for graduates. 

Balanga City awards 10 transformational citizens

   CITY OF BALANGA, Bataan, May 8 (PIA) – Ten individuals, 10 different fields, but this year’s winners have one thing in common: They didn’t know they have done big in the society. 

  The city government of Balanga bestowed its highest honor to eight men and two women who, despite having led reforms in their own fields, vowed to continue bringing transformations in the society.

Bataan towns to experience short power outages

   CITY OF BALANGA, Bataan, May 8 (PIA) – Several towns in Bataan will experience short power interruptions on May 12 and 14 as rotten poles will be replaced in preparation for the rainy season.

   According to the notice of power service interruption of the Peninsula Electric Cooperative (PENELCO), the province’s power distributor, the towns of Limay, Orion, Pilar, Bagac and Morong will be out of electricity on May 12 from 9 am-9:15 am.

Good news to scholars

   BALANGA CITY, Bataan- Rep Enrique “Tet” Garcia, 2nd District, has assured to fund the scholarship program  in his district despite the removal of the Priority Development Assistance Fund. 

   In a talk with this correspondent, Rep Garcia said that he is doing something to remedy the fund intended for the thousands of poor but deserving students.
