Bataan PDRRMO 1st runner up in CPR/AED Olympics

BALANGA CITY, Bataan – Still tired from rescue and rehabilitation efforts due to the recent onslaught of Typhoon Glenda, our team from the Provincial Disaster and Risk Reduction Management Office still managed to emerge as 1st Runner up in the 11th Central Luzon First Aid and CPR/AED Olympics held at Malolos City Sports Complex, City of Malolos in the Province of Bulacan last July 23-24, 2014.

RC Mariveles Ecozone co-sponsors skills training for PWDs

MARIVELES, Bataan – In line with the celebration of National Disability Prevention and Rehabilitation (NDPR) Week, the Municipal Government of Mariveles spearheaded by Mayor Jesse I. Concepcion, Vice Mayor Turing Isip and Sangguniang Bayan Members through the initiative of Hon. Mel A. Lopez (Committee Chair on Minorities & Persons with Disability) in cooperation with the Rotary Club of Mariveles Ecozone headed by its President Arturo G. Maximo, launched the project “Skills Training for Mariveles PWDs (Massage Therapy -10 days & Beauty Care (manicure, pedicure & hair cutting) – 7 days)” last July 14, 2014 at the Heroes Hall, Brgy. Poblacion, Mariveles, Bataan. The trainers are all certified and accredited by TESDA.

Under Proclamation No. 1870 the NPDR Week is celebrated annually, every third week of July that aims to conduct relevant activities for persons with disabilities (PWDs).
