212 board reviewers receive financial assistance

Two hundred twelve (212) board reviewers received their financial assistance under the Iskolar ng Bataan program on Tuesday.
Vice Gov. Cris Garcia spearheaded the distribution held at Bataan DepEd office.
Iskolar ng Bataan coordinator Ramon Canas said that reviewers who were Iskolar ng Bataan beneficiaries got P5,000.00 financial assistance, and those who were not received P3,000.00.
“You will pass the exam”, Canas quoted the vice governor encouraging the beneficiaries.
“Beware of fake news proliferating in social media”, she also warned them.
The vice governor also advised beneficiaries to visit the Hotjobs Bataan website and the FB page of Iskolar ng Bataan Alumni.
Canas said new batch of board reviewers beneficiaries is being processed in their office.
He said a total of 2,553 board exam reviewers from the province already benefitted from the program since it started in 2017.
It will be remembered that the Sangguniang Panlalawigan through Garcia’s leadership unanimously passed two years ago a resolution giving financial assistance to “poor yet deserving” graduates who are residents of the province for review of board and bar examination.
Before becoming vice governor, Garcia was the coordinator of the Iskolar ng Bataan. She now serves as adviser of the scholarship program.
The late Governor Tet Garcia and then 2nd district congressman Gov. Abet Garcia hatched in 2005 the Iskolar ng Bataan program benefitting ever since thousands of college students from the province.
