ABUCAY, Bataan – Forty five couples from different villages of this town exchanged vows in a mass wedding or Kasalang Bayan 2016 officiated by their municipal mayor Liberato “Pambato” Santiago Jr. at the Las Mariana Restaurant and function hall here.
During the event, an 18-year old bride and groom were recognized as the youngest couple while a 72-year-old groom was named as the eldest in the said occasion. All of them got special gifts from Mayor Santiago.
The first couple who arrived in the venue was also rewarded. A couple who has been together for 27 years was also given a prize, a dinner for two in a restaurant here.
Other newly-weds also received various gifts during seveal raffles conducted by the mayor’s staff.
