CAPITOL GROUNDS, Balanga City – Leading this morning’s flag raising ceremony, the Provincial Employment Services Office (PESO) under the dynamic leadership of Mr. Melchor Cui, bared their accomplishments based on their measurable targets for the period January to June 2016.
Mandated to ensure prompt, timely and efficient delivery of employment assistance and other information to government agencies, foremost of which is the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Mr. Cui briefly discussed his Office’s core functions to wit: provision of labor-market information, referring to movement of labor supply and demand; referral and placement; employment guidance and counseling and self employment.
Moreover, PESO also bannered their special programs such as job fairs, Special Program for Employment of Students (SPES) and apprenticeship all of which help expand people’s access to job opportunities that in turn adhere to the province’s vision.
To date, PESO utilizes the Bataan Manpower Registry System developed by the Management Information System (MIS) Office which will ultimately be rolled on to all the municipalities of the province. PESO also utilizes the social media, specifically the Facebook for tracking and sharing of information in addition to existing online groups all aimed at facilitating sharing of information.
