CAMP CIRILO TOLENTINO, Bataan – In its relentless efforts to eradicate the number one menace in our society, the Bataan Philippine National Police (PNP) headed by PSSupt. Benjamin H. Silo, Jr. in cooperation with the local government units and the multisectoral groups launched a Slogan and Poster Making Contest among students from all over the province.
In simple ceremonies held last Friday, September 2 at the PNP Headquarters, in this City, the following emerged as winners:
First Place – Ace Espinosa, Brgy. Puerto Rivas Ibaba, City of Balanga
2nd Place – Neil R. Magdaong, Mariveles National High School, Poblacion
3rd Place – Christian Rivera, Morong National High School, Annex
4th Place – Kurt Paolo Espinosa, Pablo Roman National High School
5th Place – Ruzzel Poss Ora, Mariveles National High School, Cabcaben
6th Place – Patrice Nicole Trinidad, SMMA
7th Place – Karl Maceda, Emilio S. Bernabe National High School
8th Place – Franz Lloyd Delos Reyes, Mariveles National High School, Poblacion
9th Place – Margie Rose Sagadraca, Mother Margherita de Brincat Catholic School
10th Place – John Carlo Guillermo, Holy Rosary Parochial Institute
The winning piece of Ace Espinosa, “A drug-free community is the safest place to be”, was used as the theme of the Barangay Drug Clearing Operation as well as a symbolic marker during the unveiling ceremony of the program.
In related developments, Bataan is the first province in Region 3 that has achieved the criteria set by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in Brgy. Drug Clearing Operation. Three (3) municipalities of Bataan has already been declared as 100% drug free namely: Bagac, Pilar and Morong.
