BALANGA CITY, Bataan – The Bataan Peninsula State University (BPSU) has started the facility development in its 6 campuses in line with the university-wide zoning that will be implemented by 2019.
New university facilities that included E-Library in Main Campus, and Education Technological and Animal Welfare Clinic in Abucay Campus were recently inaugurated. The Animal Science Building was repaired and there is an on-going road concreting also in Abucay Campus.
With the zoning to be adopted, classification of programs will feature a flagship course in each campus that will concentrate on its assigned field of specialization. “We already looked at the capability each of the 6 campuses”, said BPSU President Dr. Greg Rodis.
“We used to have the nursing course offered in different BPSU campuses. Except for Bagac Campus, the course was offered in all other campuses. So no particular campus was focused to the nursing course”, he explained.
“Zoning of programs will help in consolidating the teachers’ expertise in a specific campus” he added.
“It is best to offer the course in a specific campus with complete facility manned by expert faculty members”, Rodis also said.
Aiming to become a leading educational institution in the country, BPSU has adopted a new vision, mission, and development thrusts.
BPSU is the biggest state-run university with 6 campuses all over the province. These campuses are Main Campus, Balanga Campus, Orani Campus, Dinalupihan Campus, Abucay Campus, and Bagac Campus.
The University for the past years have produced topnotchers in engineering, nursing, education, accountancy, and midwifery courses.
