BALANGA CITY, Bataan – Mayor Louise Gabriel del Rosario of Bagac is earnestly considering the proposal of the owner of one of the premier tourist destinations in the country, Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar heritage resort, to renovate a segment of the town proper into a European –style architecture to hasten tourism industry.
Del Rosario is inclined to consolidate the eco-tourism development scheme of the coastal town which gives emphasis on the planned creation of a Hispanic community to augment the 400 hectares world –class heritage resort in Barangay Pag-asa, Bagac town, this province.
With the establishment of P 2 million tourism information center in the town which is regarded as the first of its kind in the eleven (11) municipalities and a component city, Del Rosario said the local tourism development council may possibly produce a priceless historical and eco-tourism materials for the expected program of expanding prospective spots for foreign and local visitors.
Del Rosario, the youngest municipal mayor in Central Luzon and former Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) national federation president, said the expansion proposal of businessman and a respected property developer Gerry Acuzar would serve as a great opportunity for local entrepreneurs and residents to become beneficiaries of a majestic transformation with rich Spanish historical linkages to boost the tourism industry.
He added that this new development would further improve the status of Bagac as a foremost beach resort destination in Central Luzon and as an international convention site in the country.
