Bataan PPO celebrates 115th Police Service Anniversary

CITY of BALANGA, Bataan – In line with the celebration of the 115th Police Service Anniversary of the Bataan Police Provincial Office, various units and individuals were given awards in recognition of their outstanding performance and contribution in accomplishing the PNP mission and function, held at Camp Cirilo Tolentino, yesterday, this City.

“Ilang hakbang na lamang po at makakamit na natin ang ating pangarap. Nakikita ko na ang bunga ng ating araw-araw na pagsusumikap. At higit sa lahat, nararamdaman na ng ating mga kababayan ang epekto ng ating pinaigting at pinagsama-samang pagkilos. We are just a few steps away from achieveing the once impossible dream of having drug-free province. Na ang Bataan ang maging kauna-unahang drug-free province,” said Police Senior Superintendent Atty. Benjamin Silo, Jr., Bataan PPO Provincial Director.

“Sa kabila ng samu’t-saring trabaho na ating pasan, hinamon ang kapulisan na baguhin ang sistema sa loob ng iilang buwan. Kaliwa’t kanan ang batikos ngunit ang atas sa atin, pag-ibayuhin pa ang serbisyo. Maraming tumuligsa, o natakot, o napoot. Pero sa huli, tinanggap natin ang lahat ng ito na waring inuming tubig. Para sa ating misyon na ipasa ang Pilipinas nang mas mapayapa sa susunod na salinlahi,” Atty. Silo added.

This year’s anniversary revolved around the theme: “Hamon ng Pagbabago, Pinag-ibayong Serbisyo.”

Also, according to Atty. Silo, he was truly gratified with the awards they are harvesting. As such, he re-echoed the PNP challenge of changing the system. He challenged his colleagues to be our government’s partner for change.
