BALANGA CITY, Bataan – The provincial government of Bataan is intensifying its anti-rabies campaign.
The Provincial Veterinary Office headed by Dr. Albert Venturina conducted a seminar on anti-rabies campaign with Hermosa barangay officials and municipal agriculturist Tom Sotto at the capitol on Wednesday in observance of World Rabies Day.
World Rabies Day, observed every 28th day of September started in 2007 to create a global opportunity for people to focus on rabies prevention.
According to Venturina, all barangay officials and municipal agriculturists of each of the 12 towns of the province will undergo a seminar regarding the anti-rabies campaign at the Provincial Veterinary Office in the capitol.
Board Member Benjie Serrano Jr., Sangguniang Panlalawigan Chairman of the Committee on Agriculture, joined the seminar. Serrano said a provincial ordinance regarding registration and vaccination of dogs and cats and penal provisions is being discussed at the seminar.
