Garcia to speak at DTI’s forum on Promoting Business for Inclusive Growth

BALANGA CITY, Bataan – Gov. Albert “Abet” Garcia is slated to speak come Monday, Oct 17, 2016 at the DTI (Department of Trade and Industry) Business Forum on “Promoting Business for Inclusive Growth” along with DTI Secretary Ramon Lopez, who will give the key note speech, to be held at the Shangri-La Hotel, Makati City.

Bataan Governor Garcia will discuss the topic, “Role of Provincial Government in Business Promotion and Development” where he is most experienced with.

 

Governor Garcia used chair the Trade and Industry Committee at the House of Representatives when he was Representative of the province’s 2nd District.  Recently, DTI Region 3 awarded Bataan as the most competitive province in the whole region with the most number of investments.

 

The Business Forum is aimed at providing participants a better understanding of the vision and strategy of DTI in promoting business with inclusive growth and ensuring that an enabling environment is created in all regions of the country.

 

The forum will also engage local government units, business sector and the civil society in the discussions for a close collaboration among national government agencies, in making localities more attractive destinations for investment and trade, which will lead to more jobs and support inclusive growth.

 

On the other hand, DTI Secretary Ramon Lopez will keynote the topic, “How DTI is contributing in easing the process of doing business in the Philippines, more particularly in regions and localities all over the country.”

 

Other top brass speakers in the business forum include, Ruth Novales, Vice President and Corporate Affairs Executive, Nestle Phils., Inc.; Joey Concepcion of GO Negosyo Phil.; and Center for Entrepreneurship and San Fernando City (Pampanga), Mayor Edwin David Santiago, who will talk on the role of City Government in improving ease in doing business.
