Proud Bataeños in Mindanao

Unknown to many of us, we have fellow Bataeños from Brgy. Central and Cupang North, both in Balanga City, who are in active duty in the Philippine Army serving in Regions 10 and 13 in the Northern Mindanao and CARAGA regions.

They are Captain Alvin A. Reyes, Ordinance Service (OS) and 2LT. Jazel S. Gatbonton, Adjutant General Services (AGS).

 

Capt. Reyes is a graduate of BS Industrial Technology, major in Electronics from the Bataan Peninsula State University (BPSU). A member of Officer Preparatory Course 55 2007 from the Officer Candidate School in Camp O’ Donnel in Capas,Tarlac, he was called to active duty last July 9, 2007. Also a Scout Ranger, he is currently assigned as chief of civil affairs, office of civil military operation 4th Infantry Division at Camp Evangelista, Patag, Cagayan de Oro.

 

2LT Gatbonton is a licensed nurse and also a graduate BPSU. She was called to active duty after finishing the Officer Preparatory Course (64-2015) at the Officer Candidate School in Camp O’ Donnel in Capas,Tarlac Lt. Gatbonton is currently assigned as deputy civil military operation officer at 30 Infantry battalion based in Placer, Surigao Norte.

 

Missing their hometown, they somehow connect to us, their fellow Bataeños through the 1Bataan FB page.
