BALANGA CITY, Bataan – The economic significance of cheaper rate and sufficient power distribution system have reflected on the positive implications on the burgeoning trading hub of the fast growing component city in Central Luzon.
Renato V. Santos, Balanga City service center supervisor of the Peninsula Electric Cooperative, Incorporated (PENELCO) explained the vital role of reliable power distribution method as an exceptional business strategy of enhancing locators’ awareness of the great potential of the City as educational, commercial and financial center of the province.
Citing the highly–competitive power cost of P 7 to 8 per kilowatt hour consumption which reportedly, is lower than the prevailing rate in Central Luzon and Manila Electric Company, Santos said a number of investors have expressed their utmost enthusiasm to establish small and medium enterprises .
Although Balanga City ranks 3rd with 23,337 household connections out of 181,799 households in the province, still the growing business atmosphere remains high due to the expanding population and it is ideally located near special economic and tourism zones .
Bataan, with 241 energized communities reportedly would benefit from the countryside economic boom, with the national government dispersal program of discouraging industrial and manufacturing firms to rise in Metro Manila, Santos said.
He said the new business concept of integrated mixed-use communities of constructing residential and office developments that incorporate retail, restaurant and entertainment venues would tremendously heighten multi-national entrepreneurs’ interest in Balanga City.
Santos added that top-notch power service, dependable and cheaper rate would make a highly-urbanized location like the City of Balanga lead in the economic growth of the province resulting to an expanded middle-class with a higher pay and better capacity to quality of life.
