Sugatain banners PCEDO accomplishments

CAPITOL GROUNDS, Balanga City – Leading this morning’s flag raising ceremony, the Provincial Cooperative and Enterprise Development Office (PCEDO) under Mrs. Zena Sugatain, presented their office mandate and it’s vital role in the realization of the province’s vision, which is to achieve the highest human development index in the country by the year 2020.

Mrs. Sugatain also highlighted PCEDO’s notable accomplishments and several awards, some of which are the following: a total of P539M additional investments generated from cooperatives for the period July to October 2016; the institutionalization of Galing Bataan Awards thru SP Ordinance No. 2, aimed at recognizing outstanding cooperatives, entrepreneurs and big ticket economic players; the only LGU accredited by the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) to conduct mandatory cooperative trainings and seminars in Bataan; 2016 CDA Gawad Parangal Regional Search; 2016 Gawad Pitak award; 2016 CDA Gawad Parangal National Search; establishment of Food Packaging Center at BPSU in collaboration with the Department of Trade and Industry to cater the product labeling and packaging needs of the MSMEs.
