Tigas cites PSWDO accomplishments

CAPITOL GROUNDS, Balanga City – Leading the flag raising ceremony yesterday, January 16, the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) headed by Ms. Marilyn Tigas reported their accomplishments for the second semester of 2016.

Conforming to the Provincial Government of Bataan’s mission “excellent public service towards a better quality of life for all” and to its strategic map, the said office has invested to enhance the productivity of Bataeños.

The PSWDO has five major final outputs that comply to the province’s mission under the citizen’s perspective – to enhance the productivity of Bataeños. The programs and services that are provided to the target recipients are as follows: auxiliary services (support services), strengthening and sustainability of provincial sectoral people’s organization, councils, league, and advisory committee, support to the implementation of Pantawid Pamilya Pilipino Program, relief delivery operations to disaster affected population, and support to PGB’s operations.

Aligned with being able to accomplish these things, the PSWDO received awards for their hard work. They ranked 1 st in the previous provincial 5-S Audit, and they are the regional winner on the category “Search for PWD Friendly Province.”
