DTI to support marketing of bamboo products

CITY BALANGA, Bataan – Nelin Cabahug, provincial director of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) assured today that the DTI will help the bamboo producers market their products.

During this morning’s Kapihan sa Bataan, Cabahug said that theDTI is also supportive of Mayor Gila Garcia’s program in boosting the bamboo industry in Bataan.

“Mayor Gila is a bamboo lover and we support her program,” said Cabahug.

The DTI, she said continues to support the development of bamboo industry in Central Luzon through programs that enhance the productivity and income of stakeholders.

In a statement, the DTI pointed out that these include technology trainings on engineered bamboo, novelty item making, support in marketing and promotion, and provision of Shared Service Facilities (SSF) for the processing of bamboo.
