Bataan PSB allots funds to various projects

BATAAN CAPITOL– The provincial government of Bataan thru the Provincial School Board (PSB) chaired by Governor Abet Garcia has allotted funds for the beefing up of security measures in all public schools of the province.

In an interview with Board Member Reynaldo “Rey” Ibe, Jr., he said that three (3) security guards will be assigned per public school in all towns of the province.

“Ito po ang naging tugon ng ating pamahalaang panlalawigan sa mga napapabalitang madalas na nakawan sa mga paaralan natin na kadalasan ay mga computer sets at iba pang mahahalagang kagamitan ang ninanakaw,” Ibe told 1Bataan.com.

The lawmaker from Orani also added that the PSB through the Department of Education (DepEd) Division of Bataan headed by Jesse Ferrer is scheduled to distribute 50 brand new computer sets per school to all 16 public schools under Ferrer’s jurisdiction.

Balanga City has its own city schools division.

Ibe also announced that Governor Garcia told him that the free WiFi connectivity in the whole province is also under way in its construction stage in partnership with leading telecoms companies.

“Our Governor also allotted P150 million for the purchase of additional lands all over the province to build more classrooms and school buildings,” Ibe added.
