Bataan governor investment concept attracts locators

BALANGA CITY, Bataan – An 82-year old businessman-farmer of one of the most progressive communities in northern Bataan town has expressed his gratitude to Bataan Governor Albert Raymond S. Garcia for a well-crafted investment development scheme which makes the province an ideal commercial and industrial haven in Central Luzon.

Ricardo Lopez, operator of a mini-rice mill and a successful farmer who oversees 5 hectares riceland in Barangay Calaguiman, Samal town has openly articulated the effective and efficient mechanism on the socio-economic strategy of Governor Garcia stirred the opening of labor –intensive enterprises in the City of Balanga, and the neighboring towns of Samal, Abucay and Pilar.

The geographical and strategic location of the historic peninsula adjacent to the country’s  two integrated economic zones with international airport and seaport facilities have greatly influenced stakeholders to involve  in transforming the economic impact and stature of Bataan as a manufacturing and industrial center.

Lopez said the introduction of corporate governance program, public and private partnership and other strategic financing and promotional tools have definitely catapulted the business category of Bataan into a feasible investment site.

With the latest development in the infrastructure program, Lopez said he is opting to revive his hardware construction business to be more actively participated in the road to prosperity objectives of the historic peninsula.

He added the expanding commercial diversity and establishment of manufacturing corporations have encouraged Metro Manila based real estate developers and property management leasing firms to undertake joint venture projects with local businessmen of exploring the rich markets for residential and mixed use commercial enterprises in the booming industrial towns of Limay, Mariveles and Hermosa.
