BALANGA CITY, Bataan – About 5,000 workers of various trades are expected to be hired in three years with the operation of three shopping malls in this City.
Joselito Evangelista, city treasurer, said Balanga City, the province’s commercial and educational center, which is classified as one of the most progressive component cities in Central Luzon, is flourishing into a major retail hub.
He explained the proposed establishment of three multi-million peso shopping centers namely SM, Robinson’s, and Walter Mart, in the heart of the City has great influences in the upswing of local marketing economy.
He cited the influx of real estate investors and property leasing entrepreneurs has constant effect on the increasing job opportunities particularly in the housing activities having direct impact on the magnificent growth because at any point in the projects’ life, the economy benefits directly from investment spent on materials, labor, tax generation and other financing aspects.
Evangelista stressed the dynamic business atmosphere as a principal marketing hub will be sustained by remarkable economic growth and the residents’ disposable income.
Multi-national manufacturing and export firms operating in the province’s seven special economic zones have been instrumental in propelling Balanga City’s upright retail base.
