DINALUPIHAN, Bataan – Seven hundred drug reformists have already graduated from a drug reformation program being conducted at the Bahay Pagbabago in this first-class municipality.
This was revealed to Bataan newsmen last Wednesday, May 23 during the graduation rites of the 14th batch of reformists by Dinalupihan Municipal Mayor Maria Angela “Gila” Garcia.
“All the graduates finished TESDA NC2 courses on pipefitting and scaffolding,” Garcia told the press who covered the event.
Garcia was joined by deputy provincial director for administration, Supt. Donato Bait, Dinalupihan police chief, Supt. Edward Guevara, representatives from various sectors and TESDA representative.
Bahay Pagbabago is the place where the so-called illegal drugs victims voluntarily turn themselves in under the Oplan Double Barrel program. Under the said program, reformists undergo intensive physical, moral, mental, social, and spiritual conditioning for their holistic personal development.
Mayor Garcia expressed gratitude to all the people, volunteers, groups from the private and public sectors who helped the LGU in sustaining the anti-illegal drugs program.
“Ang Bahay Pagbabago ay para sa lahat, para sa lahat ng gustong magbago, para sa lahat ng pamilya na kumikilala sa pagbabago. Ito ay bayanihan na kung saan lahat ay bayani,” Garcia said.
