NGCP monitors weather disturbances

BALANGA CITY, Bataan – National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) assures the public that it is continuously monitoring weather disturbances which may impact NGCP operations and facilities.
“NGCP personnel are braving unfavorable weather conditions and pursue non-stop restoration efforts”, said NGCP Regional Corporate Communication Officer Ernest Vidal in an interview here.
Following its Integrated Disaster Action Plan, NGCP was able to prevent any major system disturbance to the Luzon grid, and subsequently restored all transmission facilities affected by the torrential rainfall brought by recent weather disturbances.
“NGCP is committed to provide reliable electricity and electric consumers safe”, he also said.
“We are helping our partners in the energy sector for reliable supply of electricity”, he added.
Vidal also urged the public to be safe from transmission facilities and always bear in mind the safety tips they are constantly promoting.
